USD/CAD have been subject to double pressure for a long time. First of all, it is a pair affected by the turmoil in the oil market, secondly by political factors, especially the person of the American president, who is extremely active in media coverage. In recent days, Trump has repeatedly criticized the strong dollar, complaining about the weakening of Chinese Juan, whose course is largely controlled by the Beijing authorities. The American president also accused the European Union of manipulating the exchange rate. Currently, after a considerable period of increases, USD can be considered a bit overvalued currency, and adding to this policy to weaken it, we can slowly get ready for declines. The weekly chart of USD/CAD looks interesting, where the range of increases since September 2017 is the same as the rise in 2016-17.
