Annual Eurozone inflation in April 2017 was 1.9%, rebounding from 1.5% level in March, in line with analyst expectations and preliminary publications. CPI inflation of the whole euro area also increased (from 1.6% to 2.0%).

As expected, readings that overlap with market consensus did cause virtually no reaction to the pairs with the EU currency.
