Exactly two weeks ago, on the pages of comparic.com I presented the strategy for binary options – EMA 8/20. This strategy was based on two exponential moving averages (EMA): 8 and 21, allowing to determine the trend and level of entry for transaction.
Over the past two weeks, I have published partly statistics showing the daily rates of return that could be derived from investing on this strategy. According to the announcement, it is time to summarize and see if this strategy would make a profit and whether it was worthwhile to invest on it.
Since the EMA 8/20 strategy is a five-minute strategy for the options and its signals should be tracked on a 1-minute interval, I have decided that the two-week test will be conducted on the 6 most popular currency pairs in hours. 8: 00-12: 00:

This experiment was designed to verify whether this strategy has any chance to be profitable and whether it is worthwhile devoting time to its detailed testing and trading based on the signals it generates.
Based on previous tests, I have proven that the End of the Day strategy is not profitable and the EMA Rainbow strategy allows us to make money. As promised, today I also presented a description of the ADX EMA strategy that I intend to test within the next two weeks. In this way, I will try to test many different strategies and verify which ones are profitable and which are not.
Over the past two weeks (10 sessions), between 8:00 and 12:00, on the observed currency pairs, the EMA 8/20 strategy generated a total of 705 signals. 421 of them turned profitable and 284 wrong. This means that the efficiency was 59.72%. Taking into account the return on investment that UTrader trader is fluctuating between 74% and 81% in total, we could earn as much as 40.03: 1 in 705 transactions.
During these two weeks, only two sessions were lost and as many as 8 profitable. The biggest daily loss was 11,91: 1 and the highest daily profit was 10,41: 1. The average daily gain was 4.00: 1. The highest profit (17.08: 1) could be achieved on the EURUSD currency pair.
