Cowen Inc. (NASDAQ:COWN) (“Cowen” or the “Company”) today announced that Miguel Roman has joined Cowen’s Investment Banking team as Managing Director, Head of Leveraged Capital Markets and Syndicate. In his new role, Mr. Roman is responsible for leading the Leveraged Finance Capital Markets and Syndicate function and is based in Cowen’s New York City corporate headquarters. Mr. Roman reports to Craig Zaph, Managing Director and Head of Leveraged Finance and Debt Capital Markets.

Mr. Roman joins Cowen with almost 30 years of industry experience, most recently working at RBC Capital Markets where he was Co-Head of the U.S. Loan Capital Markets Team.  Prior to working at RBC, he spent almost 20 years with JP Morgan, the last few years as a Managing Director in the Syndicated and Leveraged Finance Group. Mr. Roman graduated Summa Cum Laude from the Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo with a BS in Industrial Engineering and he holds an MBA from the University of Michigan.
