US Department of Labor published data about jobless claims for last week. It was much better than markets consensus and better than a week ago.

249K vs 254K before

According to Reuters survey jobless claims should equal to 287K and the score was 249K. In comparison to historical data it is one of the best score since 1973. At the same time we have to notice that this is 83 weeks in a row with the result below 300K – the best series since 1970.

It gives some optimism before Friday’s NFP data. US Dollar doesn’t move much after this data. We can see some strengthening in comparison with EUR:
